The Master's field is set – who is Australia’s best chance?

Apr 8, 2024

By winning the 2024 Valero Texas Open on the weekend, America's Akshay Bhatia secured the last spot in the 2024 Master’s field. Winning in a sudden death playoff, the 22 year old secured his second and possibly most important PGA Tour event, earning the last spot available in the first major of the year.

Beginning AEST Friday morning (Thurs in the USA), the world’s most exclusive field and best players, from the PGA Tour and LIV Golf, will assemble to compete for the famed green jacket at Augusta National.

Six Aussies will stake their claim; Cameron Davis, Jason Day, Min Woo Lee, Adam Scott and Cameron Smith. Our sixth representative is amateur Jasper Stubbs, one of five amateurs to get a chance to grace the fairways of Augusta.

Among the list of attendees, Tiger Woods is sure to get maximum attention.
