Fortinet Australian PGA Championship - Dates, Schedule, Activities, Event Guide

The Fortinet Australian PGA Championship has been held since 1929. Since 2000, the South East region of Queensland has been chosen as the venue. From 2009 to 2014, the tournament was part of the OneAsia Tour and from 2015 to 2019 it was held in conjunction with the European Tour. The decision to hold the championship was made by the Australian Golf Union. The first event featured 16 professional players, all qualifying for the 4-round, 36-hole matches.

The Fortinet Australian PGA Championship can be divided into several leading events that you should visit.

  • Traditional Gala Dinner and PGA Awards 2022

The event celebrates the outstanding achievements of Australian golfers over the past 12 months. The event concludes with the presentation of the Greg Norman Award. It is given to the athlete who best represents Australia internationally. The last gala dinner, which took place in November 2022, was attended by over 500 people.

  • Ladies Bottomless Brunch

One way to express your support for charities is on Yellow Day. Guests are invited to enjoy wine, food, and socializing on Friday mornings. Within the framework of the event, performances of the players of the tournament are held, as well as drawings of gifts among the participants.
A prerequisite for participation in the brunch is the presence of yellow clothes. Admission is $125, and all proceeds go to charities.

  • MyGolf Kids Carnival

  • Beat the Pro Challenge

  • Yellow Day

The traditional event of the Fortinet Australian PGA Championship has been held since 2018. Professional players and regular visitors gather to pay their respects to Jarrod Lyle. All funds raised go to a fund to support families with children with cancer.
