American Keegan Bradley hung on to win the FedExCup BMW Championship at Castle Hills, Colorado, his 7th PGA Tour victory. It was Bradley’s first win in back-to-back seasons since his first two seasons on TOUR (2011, 2012) and he becomes the 20th multiple winner of the event; wins in 2018 and 2024 account for his only two top-10 finishes in 12 starts. He entered the week No. 50 in the FedExCup and moves to No. 4 to advance to the TOUR Championship for the sixth time.
Australia’s Adam Scott started the day in second place (-11) and finished with a par round that saw him share T2 with Sam Burns and Ludvig Aberg – all one shot behind Keegan. Scott has been in vintage form of late, finishing runner-up for the second time in his last four starts (Genesis Scottish Open) and for the 16th time in his career. He also moves from No. 41 to No. 14 in the FedExCup, reaching the TOUR Championship for the 10th time in the FedExCup era (since 2007) and first since 2022 (he failed to qualify for the FedExCup Playoffs last season for the first time in his career).
Scott will now be our lone representative in the season finale at Eastlake in Atlanta – restricted to a 30-man field. Aussie Cam Davis fired a final round 66 (-6) to leap into T5, however that only lifted him to #36 in the overall standings. Likewise Jason Day will miss the finale, starting in the top 30 when the playoffs began, however a T22 at St Jude and then T33 at the BMW and he finished 33rd overall – just three spots shy of a start.
In more good news for the Australians, the finish for Scott sees him gain an automatic place in the Presidents Cup Team along with Jason Day. The six automatic qualifiers for the International Presidents Cup Team are Hideki Matsuyama, Sungjae Im, Adam Scott, Tom Kim, Jason Day, and Byeong Hun An. The six automatic qualifiers for the U.S. Presidents Cup Team are Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, Wyndham Clark, Patrick Cantlay and Sahith Theegala.
