Scottie Scheffler – 2024 FedExCup Champion

Sep 2, 2024

World #1 Scottie Scheffler has won the FedExCup at East Lake, Atlanta for the first time after entering the TOUR Championship at No. 1 in the FedExCup standings for the third consecutive year. Along the way he has won an obscene amount of moola (see more below).

Scheffler deserved the win, as he held the lead in the FedExCup standings for the final 25 weeks of the season (since the completion of the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard), the longest streak to end the season of any FedExCup Champion since the inception of the FedExCup in 2007.

Scheffler started the finale at -10, with his nearest rival Xander Schauffele on -8. Collin Morikawa, who finished second after starting on -4 (six shots behind) would have won had it not been the staggered scoring system, however Scheffler finished on -30 with Morikawa on -26.

Sahith Theegala finished sole third on -24, with Aussie Adam Scott sharing T4 with Russell Henley and Xander Schauffele on -19.

FINAL LEADERBOARD

It was Scheffler’s 50th career week at No. 1 in the FedExCup (second-most all-time behind Tiger Woods on 85). Scheffler also becomes the 84th player to win 13 times on the PGA TOUR and first since Jason Day won the 2023 CJ CUP Byron Nelson, and he’s currently tied for 72nd on the all-time PGA TOUR wins list (other active players with 13 wins: Jason Day, Jordan Spieth).
