Description | A true links that rises out of the sea and is set totally in coastal sand dunes. Magnificent views from the fairways over King George Sound. From July to October a good chance to spot whales calving. Once described by Craig Parry as his favourite Australian golf course. The wind swept fairways are typical links land with swales and undulations, and the smooth greens are very quick with subtle variations. The vegetation consists of Albany woolly bushes and peppies that make for tight driving from many tees. The course plays particularly long with the hardy kikuyu grass and prevailing wind conditions. A very enjoyable and testing layout. Neat dress code. Soft spikes required. Visitors are welcome, membership details from office. |
