It’s only days away, with the The 16th edition of the Presidents Cup to be played at Medinah Country Club, Chicago, Illinois for the first time. Australian Geoff Ogilvy with Captain the International Team and two Aussies, Adam Scott and Min Woo Lee have made the 12 man team.

Medinah is the sixth different U.S. venue to host the Presidents Cup. Championship events hosted at Medinah’s Course No. 3 include the 2019 BMW Championship (and three Western Opens in 1939, 1962, 1966), 2012 Ryder Cup, two PGA Championships (1999, 2006) and three U.S. Opens (1949, 1975, 1990)
Of the 24 players, seven are making their Presidents Cup debut:

- International Team (4): Nico Echavarria, Ryan Fox, Ryo Hisatsune, Nick Taylor
The Presidents Cup was most recently played at Royal Montreal in September 2024 with the United States Team claiming its 10th straight victory and improving to 13-1-1 all-time

Format and Schedule
The Presidents Cup is a four-day, match play event with 30 total matches, comprised of a 12-person U.S. Team and 12-person International Team. All matches are worth one point, for a total of 30 points; there are no playoffs, with each side receiving a half point if a match is tied after 18 holes
In a change inspired by the events of the 2003 Presidents Cup, if the match is deadlocked at the end of Singles play, the competition will be deemed a tie and the teams will share the Presidents Cup.
The team that earns the most points after four days of competition wins the Presidents Cup:
- Thursday: Five matches total, Four-ball (best ball)
- Friday: Five matches total, Foursomes (alternate shot)
- Saturday: Eight matches total, Four-ball (morning) and Foursomes (afternoon)
- Sunday: Twelve matches total, Singles
