Australia’s Hannah Green to defend HSBC Women’s Wold Championship

Dec 12, 2024

Australia’s very own World No.6 Hannah Green is set to defend her title at the HSBC Women’s World Championship at Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore, February 27 – March 2, 2025.

The 2019 KPMG Women’s PGA champion won the 2024 edition by one stroke over France’s Celine Boutier. The 27-year-old closed with a final-round 67, making three birdies in the last three holes, including a 30-foot birdie putt on the 18th, to capture her fourth LPGA title. This victory made her the second Australian to win the event, following Karrie Webb in 2011.

“I’m really excited to return to the HSBC Women’s World Championship next year and defend my title. Winning at Sentosa last year was incredible, especially with that thrilling finish and unforgettable putt.” Said Green. “Even before my win, this event has always been one of my favourites on tour – HSBC does an excellent job with hosting us, and Sentosa Golf Club does the same preparing the course. Coming back as the defending champion makes it even more special. It’s been a strong year for me, and I’m hoping to carry this momentum into the next season.”

Since her win in Singapore, Green has added two more LPGA Tour titles to her name. She successfully defended her title at the JM Eagle LA Championship in April and triumphed at the BMW Ladies Championship in October, once again edging out Céline Boutier by one stroke.
