The 2025 PGA Season is well underway with the third week completed at La Quinta, California – the 2025 American Express. The event is played over three courses; PGA WEST PETE DYE STADIUM COURSE, PGA WEST NICKLAUS TOURNAMENT COURSE and LA QUINTA COUNTRY CLUB
Sepp Straka took out the event (-25) to earn his third PGA TOUR win in his 169th start. His four round total of 263 ties career-low 72-hole total (2023 John Deere Classic/Won). He carded 27 birdies for week, tying Cam Davis for most in the field. He earns 500 FedExCup points and moves to No. 2 in the FedExCup standings; projected to jump from No. 36 to No. 19 in the Official World Golf Ranking.
Justin Thomas (2nd/-23) closed in 6-under 66 for his eighth career runner-up on TOUR, including his second in his last three starts (T2/2024 Baycurrent Classic). He earns his third consecutive top-10 finish at The American Express in his fourth appearance at the event (T3/2024, T7/2015).
Australia’s Jason Day Tied for 3rd (with Juston Lower) at -22, to earn his first top-three finish since his runner-up at the 2023 Open Championship. It was also his best result in four appearances at The American Express (previous: T18/2023).
