Simply the best – Scheffler wins again

Aug 17, 2026

Scottie Sheffler has won the first week for the FedExCup Playoffs in a canter. After starting the final round level with good friend San Burns, he gapped the field, winning by a phenomenal eight shots. His eight-stroke margin is the largest by any player on TOUR since Scheffler won the 2025 CJ CUP Byron Nelson by eight and he becomes the fifth player in the last 40 years to record multiple wins of 8+ strokes on TOUR, joining Tiger Woods (10), Ernie Els (2), Dustin Johnson (2) and Rory McIlroy (2).
